There have been several video recordings of trucks transporting large, heavy equipment. Heavy duty trucks from the Volvo FMX Series have been known to travel long distances with their cargo in months. Either the cost of transporting these bulky items by air or rail is prohibitive, or they are simply too huge to be transported in those ways. Large boilers, transformers, and other equipment for power plants have been transported by vehicles pulling trailers.

However, in this video, which we can see in other videos, a truck is actually carrying an aeroplane. We have seen large aircraft transport trucks and vehicles from one location to another. We don’t typically see this on our highways, and a crowd is also drawn to it.
Manorama News has posted the video to their YouTube account. An ancient Air India Airbus A320 is seen being transported by a vehicle and trailer in the video report. A Hyderabad restaurant owner who owns the aircraft, which has been retired from duty, purchased it at auction. The aeroplane is being driven by road from Trivandrum, Kerala, to Hyderabad. People have begun gathering on the side of the national highway where the truck is travelling to Hyderabad because it is not something that is typically seen on the road.
To be transformed into a restaurant with an aviation theme, the scrapped aeroplane was being transported to Hyderabad. These restaurants have been observed around the nation. The truck was travelling slowly and taking its time to traverse the distance because this is a massive aeroplane. When the truck arrived in Kerala’s Kollam district, it caused a backup on the highway as it crossed a bridge. A big aeroplane was being transported by road, which shocked the people who had gathered by the roadside. Many of the locals were shocked to discover how big this actually was because they had never seen an aeroplane up close.
There are a few considerations the team must make while carrying such massive goods. For instance, they are unable to operate the truck on the road like a typical car. To control the flow of traffic on the road, they must maintain a certain speed. The crew typically consists of 10 to 20 people. This is done to make sure the object arrives at its destination undamaged. How much the restaurant owner paid for the aeroplane at the auction is not mentioned in the report. The airplane’s wings, tail, and nose have been taken apart since they cannot be transported with the rest of the aircraft. According to the article, it will take the truck around a month to get there.

Similar incident
The aeroplane is carefully inserted into the trailer and fastened to prevent it from falling out or shifting during the trip. We have seen that there are numerous logistics firms that specialise in moving such massive objects in the past. When an abandoned Air India plane was being transferred to another location last year, it became stuck beneath a bridge on the Delhi-Gurugram highway.
