Air India’s nonstop flight from Bengaluru to San Francisco got delayed for more than 13 hours on December Wednesday 21, 2022. Flight AI175 was initially set to depart from Bengaluru International Airport at 2:20 pm (IST) but was delayed and took off from the airport almost after 13 hours at 03:36 (IST) on Thursday 22 December 2022.
- Meanwhile, the traveler who was scheduled to travel from India to the USA was stranded at the Bengaluru airport for 13 hours and took to Twitter to complain about the same.
Passengers telling about the issue, a Twitter user told, “Was supposed to fly between Bangalore and SFO today at 2:20 PM! But the flight is just constantly getting delayed by two hours and now stands at a ten-hour delay! @airindiain hasn’t communicated clearly to its passengers.
There are passengers with infants sitting at the Bengaluru airport from 11 AM!” In her tweet, she also added an image of the display screen showing the flight departure the flight.
Serval passengers tweeted about the delay, requesting the airline for updates on the flight and informing them that there are elders and kids who struggling at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.
One of the passengers tweeted, “@airindiain BLR to SFO, Dec 21 14:30 Flight Delayed by 6.25Hours, But Still not clear with Schedule. A few Elder passengers and kids are Struggling at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport Kindly inform us! Post us Flight Schedule and plan.”

Acknowledging the passengers’ tweets, Air India’s official Twitter handle answered 1 of the passenger posts, stating, “Dear Sir, we’re sorry for the delay.
Our ground team members are providing all necessary assistance to all passengers’ meals, and refreshments are being served now to passengers waiting at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport, as accommodation if needed. As per the latest update, the flight will depart at 0300hrs.”
Reports suggest that the Air India flight from Bengaluru to San Francisco flight got delayed because of a technical glitch, and the aircraft could not be used until the problem was resolved.
It is to be stated that the airline restarted its direct flight services from Bengaluru to San Francisco recently on December 2 and operates Boeing 777-200LR aircraft on the route.
