According to a press statement issued by the low-cost airline on Wednesday, JetBlue will be expanding its network this summer with three additional destinations.
The announcement is timed to coincide with the airline’s efforts to grow its flight schedule and take advantage of the recently resurgent demand for travel.
JetBlue will be adding 3 new routes to its flight network:
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
- Westchester County Airport (HPN) to Martha’s Vineyard Airport (MVY)
- Westchester County Airport (HPN) to Charleston International Airport (CHS)

Starting on June 15th, there will be 3 flights each day between JFK and DCA, with the following schedule:

JetBlue’s membership in the Northeast Alliance
Due to JetBlue’s membership in the Northeast Alliance, which also includes American Airlines as a partner airline, the new routes are made possible. The alliance, which was established in 2020, is to thank for the introduction of several new routes, an increase in the frequency of current flights, and a system of shared frequent flyer benefits between American and JetBlue.
The U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against the agreement in 2021 accusing it of being anti-competitive, but it was eventually upheld.
In reality, the Northeast Alliance has challenged airlines like Delta, which now dominates the route, by adding a JetBlue service from New York to Washington, which is one instance in which competition has been introduced into the aviation business.
The new routes, according to Congressman Gregory Meeks, “I frequently go from JFK in the 5th Congressional District of New York to the capital of our country, so I’m happy to see fresh low fair competition on this route.

For more than 23 years, JetBlue has been a part of our community in Queens, New York, and JFK and has set the standard for affordable rates and excellent customer support. I anticipate that their network will develop much more as a result of this long-desired expansion.”
Thank you
