MUMBAI, 12th December, Air India B777 has been inducted from Delta Airlines and it has retained its cabin interiors. The first look inside the Vihaan came when Air India pilot shared the pic.
Air India has plan to lease 5 Boeing 777-200 LRs from Delta Airlines. One out of five has already arrived and is being named as Vihaan. More will be followed in upcoming months to support rapid expansion of its fleet. Yesterday, Source revealed that Air India is looking for Historic order of 500 planes from both Airbus and Boeing.
First Look Inside Air India B777- Vihaan
On Sunday evening, the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner Pilot Saif shared the most awaited pic. The pic of cabin interior of Vihaan, the airline has retained ex-Delta configuration and Interiors with Air India branding.
The Airline took delivery of Vihaan on 27th of November. The plane was ferried from Singapore where it was painted and modified to Delhi. on 11th December it flown from Delhi (DEL) to Mumbai (BOM) for its schedule flight from BOM to SFO. It carries registration VT-AEF and is schedule to fly Non-stop on 15th December from Mumbai to San Fransisco.
It Took B777-200 LR 1 Hr and 39 mins to reach at CSMIA Mumbai Airport from Delhi IGI Airport. The plane is at Parking Bay and is getting ready for its first commercial flight in new Livery from BOM to SFO.

Recently, the Indian FSC has announced the refurbishment of cabin interiors of its widebodies. This includes 27 B787-8 Dreamliner & 17 B777-200 and -300ERs. The TATA Group owned carrier will invest 400 million US Dollars which is equivalent to 3,300 Crore India Rupees.
The order can also be the biggest yet for the Boeing Company since its deal of 75 aircraft to Akasa Air in the year 2021. Airline is likely to take delivery of 50 737 MAX jets initially, with an option to pick up as many as 150.
Boeing had an edge over Airbus as the it promised to complete the order and deliver 50 737 Max planes as soon as possible early next year (20230, while the European Aerospace Giant could not promise deliveries of A320 Neo until 2025, the reporter told to Press.

VT-AEF: Operator History, Configuration and More
The Aircraft was first inducted into the fleet of Delta Airlines as N702DN in Mar 2008. Th aircraft was named as Spirit of Atlanta by Delta Airlines.

Later it was used by Mammoth Freighters and before joining Air India fleet it was lastly used by Jetran.
The B777-200 has premium economy class along with 3 other classes. The Ex-Delta aircraft has been modified and is having one of the best Cabin retrofits.
The Boeing 777-200 LRs are special as the American Aerospace giant has manufactured in limited number of 61 till date. Boeing 777-200LRs can fly up to 8,555 nautical miles which is equivalent to 15,843 km. The aircraft even outranks mega planes such as the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 747-Queen of Skies.
But interestingly, Boeing 777-200LR holds the world record for the longest Direct flight without refueling for 21,601.7 km.
