On December 1, India assumed the presidency of the G20. India will host over 200 meetings in over 50 cities across 32 different workstreams during its presidency. The Group of 20 (G20) is an intergovernmental forum of the world’s 20 major developed and developing economies, serving as the premier forum for international economic cooperation.

The motto for this year’s summit, which is being hosted by India, is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which translates as “One Earth, One Family, One Future.”

The Group of 20 consists of 19 countries and the European Union, which together account for roughly 85% of global GDP. Numerous guest countries and international organizations, in addition to G20 members, have been invited.
