Jindal Defence and Aerospace signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday with the state-owned Yantra India Ltd for engineering, development and manufacturing of defence products.
The MoU is in line with the government’s goal for a public-private collaboration to support the Indian armed services.

For the nation's armed and paramilitary forces, we are implementing comprehensive next-generation security and defence systems. We have already started talking to Indian technology partners about this.
The first artificially intelligent security system in the Indian defence environment is something we are preparing to create.
This would aid Indian MSMEs in growing their presence in the Indian defence ecosystem in addition to assisting our forces in developing future fighting capabilities, according to CP Agrawal, Head of Jindal Defence and Aerospace.

The company has previously provided materials for nearly all missile programmes as well as the satellite launchers PSLV, GSLV Mk-3, Chandrayaan, Gagnyaan, and KS Nuclear Submarine Missile System.
With exports to countries throughout the world that adhere to exacting quality standards and requirements, Jindal Defence and Aerospace has established itself as India’s top supplier of key materials for the defence and aerospace industries.
It aims to make India self-sufficient in specialised, crucial applications such as missiles and guns, naval, ballistic & blast-proof armour, aerospace, and other engineering fields, according to a news release from the business.
For the Indian armed services, which include the Indian Army, Indian Navy, CRPF, BSF, SSB, and police forces, the company has produced top-notch armour solutions on an indigenous basis, such as bulletproof podiums and morchas.
The Ministry of Defense’s 12th DefExpo 2022 was attended by Jindal Stainless’s defence division, Jindal Defence and Aerospace.
Narendra Modi, the prime minister, Rajnath Singh, Bhupendra Patel, the chief minister of Gujarat, and other prominent figures opened the five-day event.
