The new connection supplements the carrier’s route from Aeroparque to Rio de Janeiro, bringing the total number of connections up to 8 per week.
LATAM restarted flights from Buenos Aires Ezeiza to Rio de Janeiro Galeão on Friday, December 16, 2022. The route has been suspended since the spring of 2020 and will last until March. The route will supplement LATAM’s existing service to the Argentinian capital’s other airport at Aeroparque.
LATAM Brasi restarted flight service between

The new route will connect Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport (GIG) with Buenos Aires’ main international gateway at Ezeiza International Airport (EZE). LATAM Brasil restarted its service between Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires earlier this month with a link to Buenos Aires’ secondary airport at Jorge Newbery Airfield (AEP), commonly known as Aeroparque. Between the 2 airports, the carrier will fly 8 times a week to and from the Brazilian city during the 2022/2023 summer season, doubling the flights it had last year.
The new flight service to Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport (GIG) takes place 5 times a week, utilizing flight numbers 8124 and 8125. The new connection will depart on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday and have a flight time of roughly 3 hours.

LATAM will operate its Airbus A320 family of aircraft for the flights. The carrier has scheduled its Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 for the new route. The flight seats 176 passengers in a two-class configuration, with 8 seats in the premium economy cabin and 168 in economy class.

Altogether, LATAM Brasil offers over 200 monthly flights between these countries. The number is almost double that of last year November 2021. According to Cerium data, the connection to and from Ezeiza will continue until next March 2023, with flights from Aeroparque continuing throughout the year.
Aerolíneas Argentinas operates the flights between
The market between Brazil and Argentina is a historically strong one. LATAM will join several other carriers on the city pair. Aerolíneas Argentinas operates the flights service between Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires at both Aeroparque and Ezeiza International Airport. PetSmart also links the Argentinian Capital with Rio from Ezeiza, as does Emirates with its 4-times in weekly Boeing 777 flight from Dubai to Rio de Janeiro with onward service to Buenos Aires.

The Brazilian carrier will operate around 3,200 extra flights on its domestic and international routes during the current high season.

From the Argentine capital, LATAM Airlines Group offers flights to Guayaquil, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Santiago de Chile. Elsewhere, low-cost carrier GOL has restarted flights to Buenos Aires with services to both Aeroparque and Ezeiza.
