Chicago-bound United Airlines cancelled its flight from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport due to a significant mechanical issue with the aircraft.

“UA-713 was due to take off at 1.10 a.m. on Friday after being pulled back from the bay at Delhi airport… the pilot of United Airlines indicated that the flight was encountering some mechanical issues, the jet is returning to the parking bay again.”
United Airlines passenger told
Around 198 United Airlines passengers are stranded at Delhi airport, alleging airline workers of failing to provide timely accommodations.
United Airlines has sent Boeing planes for long-haul flights to Chicago, but hundreds of passengers have been stranded at the Delhi airport since Friday night, and customers are accusing the airline personnel of failing to provide adequate preparations.
“The airline corporation is not providing real-time information about the following trip, and no accommodations were provided on time.”
According to Delhi airport officials, United Airlines employees later declared the flight Aircraft on Ground (AOG) due to crew members exceeding their flight duty time limit (FDTL). The flight will depart from Delhi at around 3 a.m. on Saturday.
The official statement from United Airlines on this incident is now available.
United Airlines to start San Francisco-Bengaluru flight Next October
Few routes have received as much attention or experienced as many delays as United Airlines’ flight from San Francisco to Bengaluru. Since its initial announcement 14 months ago, it has been scheduled and made available for booking on numerous times.
Even still, it hasn’t really taken off yet, ostensibly due to the pandemic’s aftereffects; ultra-long-haul is extremely difficult to make work even in the best of circumstances. United has set the start date for October 2023 in the most recent schedule file, but a lot could happen in the following year.

It is scheduled as follows, with all times local:
- San Francisco to Bengaluru: UA152, 18:55-00:50 (+2); first flight October 28th
- Bengaluru to San Francisco: UA153, 03:55-08:30; first flight October 30th
